here we go....

well anyone who has been reading a while has heard me talk about our carriage house...that we thought we would be in a year or two and then start building the house. well that year or two has turned into 9ish, but that's the way it worked out. for me to be able to be home with our girls we have had to make a few sacrifices, one being putting off the addition. but it really hasn't been bad being a bit cramped in our 2 bedrooms and 1200 square feet. i feel like it has kept our little family close and i always know where my babies are :) but i am very excited to announce .....the addition is finally underway!! i must say one of the main things i am excited about is not carrying groceries up 19 stairs and laundry down 19 stairs! so i will post with our progress...and i must warn you the first bit will go much quicker since we are getting help with the foundation and framing, but after that we will take over finishing the rest which is what we did with our carriage house. so that will go much slower...but hopefully not to slow ;)

:: on day two we saw it would be very wise to invest in the lovely porta potty...just we track in enough much less adding a whole bunch of men coming in and out ;)

:: a block wall has made the perfect setting for, as rayley beth says, a game called 'don't fall in the slime pit'! my funny and creative girls :)

:: and the girls are loving the big mountains of dirt and rock everywhere to play on. they will probably be sad to see them go. me, not so much ;)

:: oh how our girl loves her daddy....and how he loves his girls :)

:: our big girls loving playing outside in our 60 degree weather ....

...and now miss maggie is big enough to get in on the fun on the trampoline :)

:: watching my big girls love on my baby girl...oh my happy heart :)

and a few other cute pics from this weekend....

:: our girl is getting so big pulling up on everything! her sisters used to put whatever it was they were playing with on the coffee table to keep it out of reach from their baby sister...but those days are over! magpie says 'i wanta play too guys!'

:: rayley beth and emme grace were playing with these little horses and rayley beth decided she needed to make a farmer (and apparently his whole family) to take care of the livestock! i just LOVE the little people my girls come up with :)

so i will keep everyone posted on our renovation...right now it seems a little overwhelming but also very exciting. i keep reminding myself to just take it one day at a time. like with miss maggie things may take a little longer ....but it makes it so much sweeter when it happens :)

XOXOXO

happy happy valentine's day from miss maggie!

:: our sweet girl blowing a kiss :)

:: our girl getting her groove on during our photo shoot....we had the 80's going on the ipod ,and just like her mom, she is partial to the go-go's :)

:: my cards from my 2 sweet big girls....rayley beth's version of magpie, so cute ;)

:: our dessert we made to have after our valentine's dinner...reservation for 5, well really 4 1/2, at home please ;)

:: sweet treats for my 3 sweet girls....can you guess which bag is for miss maggie?

we just want to spread some love this valentine's day and tell everyone that we love you being a part of our journey. i feel truly blessed to have fallen in love with so many people we have never actually 'met' ....and also for getting to be a part of your wonderful journey as well.

hope everyone has a wonderful day full of love and laughter :)

random happy

so just some quick pics i have been meaning to share...but emme grace has been home with the flu since monday and miss maggie has been teething and congested :( so i have been laying in bed with sick littles and not doing alot of anything else! soooo...on with some cute random pics from the past few days.....

:: our girl has started doing this pose that rayley beth used to do! it is the cutest...she will just stand like this waiting on one of us to come and lay down on the floor and look at her through her legs :)

:: our girl is starting to pull up on everything...this is good and bad :)

:: our curious little magpie is starting to get into EVERYTHING!

:: this is the CUTEST little tub toy i found on the clearance aisle at walmart...it was $24 marked down to $7.50 and our girl LOVES it!

:: when you put jo-jo in the water he starts moving around and spraying water and playing this cute little song...so stinkin cute :)

:: we also celebrated jeffrey's 39th birthday...the girls love to make his cake every year :)

:: i have this same picture in this same spot every year since the girls were born...it started with just emme grace and then add miss rayley beth and finally magpie. jeffrey and the cake always look the same, but not my baby girls! they are growing up too fast!

:: and speaking of growing up too fast...today was rayley beth's 100th day of kindergarten! the class had to dress up like they were 100 years old and our girl and her shy little smile looked so cute! she came home saying 'everybody looked like grannies and grandpas!' our ray-ray makes me smile :)

:: and here is miss emme grace on her 100th day of kindergarden 2 years ago...they look almost the exact same, except emme grace has a bit more baby powder in her hair ;)

:: and this, well it was HILARIOUS! this is a sweatshirt and purse off of barnsie, a teddy bear from barnes and noble. it started out with rayley beth saying 'awwww...the purse is the perfect size for maggie! followed by ' i bet the shirt will fit her too!' so obviously we barely got it on magpie...(note the big belly hanging out) but we did get it on her! she is just a real life baby doll to her big sisters :)

:: we all were dying laughing and maggie now always joins in even if she is not sure what it is we are laughing at! so cute! and rayley beth thought she looked so cute in her barnsie hoodie she wanted to know if she could wear it one day to town ;)

looks like our girl is thinking...'the stuff i have to put up with around here....'

so hopefully next week things will be back to normal...but it has been kinda nice just staying in a warm and cozy house taking care of my girls :)
