maggie rae is not sure about our new friend on the steps just yet!
but now i have a new reason to love fall..october is national down syndrome awareness month. a month to educate and advocate for our sweet maggie rae and the many other sweet souls out there like her. to spread the word how individuals with down syndrome are a blessing, not a burden. how this is something to be celebrated, not saddened by. how much joy and love they have for everyone who is lucky enough to be a part of their sweet life. there really are no words to describe the love i feel when i look into my baby girls eyes...
i think that she knows something that we do not. i think she will teach us far more than we will ever teach her. i know she has already changed the way i look at many things. because of her we have met many wonderful people we may have never met. she has stretched our hearts bigger than i knew possible. she is teaching her big sisters to see a world through eyes that do not discriminate. she just oozes happiness and love and has a smile that lights up the room.
our sweet magpie has changed our world and we feel so blessed for her to be a part of our family. so please join us this month in celebrating her and all of the sweet individuals blessed with that magic chromosome :)
she is so beautiful!!!! I just got goosebumps from the photo with the witch hat on. OMGoodness!!!!
ReplyDeleteO.k. now that I have finished sobbing as I always do after reading Maggie's blog... wow! I love, love, love the pictures! Your house is beautiful as always, but even more beautiful is Miss Maggie Rae's sweet smile! She truly does lighten up a room when she is in it. How blessed I am to be part of her life! And Patsy and Jeff - what wonderful parents you are - so giving, unselfish, and loving! I hope you have a wonderful time in Florida. Looking forward to the pictures! I love you all.

thanks for your sweet words!
I stopped by here after reading your sweet words on Heidi's blog...What a beautiful home and family you have. I love maggie's big ole smile and the TRICK OR TREAT decor on the door. My 4 yr old and I decorated for Fall today and she was wondering why I don't decorate and it is because I don't like the bright Haloweeny colors, but you do it perfectly!!!
ReplyDeleteOk, just read through some more of your posts and am crying. What a sweet spirit you have and love for your precious girls!!! Where in TN do you live? I'm from middle Tn, and just wrote about it in a post last week...
